UniPID and Cross-institutional studies (RIPA)

UniPID offers courses that are available to students across all the Member Universities. Since August 2026, participation in these courses is enabled through cross-institutional studies (in Finnish Ristiinopiskelupalvelu, RIPA).

RIPA is a national service that enables students at Finnish higher education institutions to enroll in courses offered by other universities directly through their home university system (Sisu or Peppi). This allows students to register for and participate in UniPID courses without requiring universities to manually grant study rights. Completed credits are automatically transferred to the student’s transcript via RIPA.

If you are not able to use Sisu or Peppi and register through RIPA service, please contact UniPID Coordination Unit.

Each UniPID Member University has their own guidelines and instructions for RIPA. The students, teachers and the administrative staff should follow the guidelines of their home university. The contact information and the university-specific information on RIPA can be found in the table in below:
