UniPID organization structure

UniPID organization and management

Currently the UniPID network has nine Finnish member universities, who have signed the UniPID Network Agreement.

The official decision-making body of the network is the UniPID Board with nominated members and vice-members from each member university. In addition, there are observer members and vice-members nominated by the National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL) and the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER).

The UniPID Board gathers an eminent and multidisciplinary group of Finnish experts on development research, universities' development cooperation, and academic partnerships with the Global South.

In addition to the board, member universities have also nominated UniPID contact persons, as well as specific contact persons and administrative support personnel for Virtual Studies to guarantee the flow of communication between the network and the member universities.

The network is coordinated by the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry of the University of Helsinki.
