UniPID organization structure

UniPID organization and management

Currently the UniPID network has nine Finnish member universities, who have signed the UniPID Network Agreement.

The official decision-making body of the network is the UniPID Board with assigned members and deputy members from each member university. Also the National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL) and the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) have nominated observer members and deputy members to the board. University of Helsinki currently holds the UniPID chairmanship.

UniPID board gathers an eminent and multidisciplinary group of Finnish experts on development research, universities' development cooperation and academic partnerships with the Global South.

In addition to the board, member universities have also nominated UniPID contact persons, as well as specific contact persons and administrative support personnel for Virtual Studies to guarantee the flow of communication between the network and the member universities.

The network is coordinated at the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy of the University of Jyväskylä.
