UniPID is hereby inviting interested course teachers and lecturers from UniPID member universities to submit course proposals for the UniPID Virtual Studies programme! Submit your proposal by 3 February, 2021.

Virtual Studies Call for Course Proposals 2021

The 2021 Call for Proposals aims to fund courses that contribute to and expand the themes and overall offering of UniPID's Virtual Studies programme. This call is divided into three parts:

Introductory UniPID course
A sum of up to 6 500€ is available from UniPID for the provision of an introductory course providing an overview of the field of development studies, sustainable development and global challenges, with a specific focus on Global South perspectives. The course should cover central themes and important concepts.

New UniPID course
A sum of up to 6 500 € per course is available from UniPID for the creation and provision of a new online course. In this call, there is no single thematic emphasis but proposals that address issues related to gender, civil society, or peace and security are welcomed. We would also welcome proposals with an interdisciplinary approach, as well as courses produced in collaboration with the course providers’ partner universities in the Global South. However, other proposals exploring challenges of sustainable development in the Global South will be considered.

Updating an existing UniPID course
A sum of up to 4 500 € per course is available from UniPID for updating a course that has been offered at least 3 times as a part of the UniPID Virtual Studies syllabus.

The applicants are required to specify which category of funding they are applying for.

The courses funded under this call should be offered for the first time during the academic year 2021-2022, including the summer 2022.

The deadline for proposals is 3 February, 2021 at 23:59. The results will be announced by the end of March 2021 at the latest.
