FinCEAL+ Africa Targeted Grants

FinCEAL+ Africa is inviting researchers to apply for grants to attend the following events below on Information Society and Food Security. A maximum of 3 grants will be awarded for each event.

                                                                         

FinCEAL+ Africa is inviting researchers to apply for grants to attend the following events below. A maximum of 3 grants will be awarded for each event. Interested applicants for the grant should send a short description (no more than one page) detailing their interest in the event i.e why do you want to attend, what is the benefit of attending for you and your institution, how does the event relate to your work? Additionally, the application must explain how participation in the event also benefits your research cooperation with Africa. Applicants with a focus purely in European cooperation do not qualify for the grant.  A CV or link to your profile should also be included. This funding call is only for travel to these events.

Information Society

IST-Africa 11-13 May 2016 in Durban, South Africa is the eleventh in an annual series of Ministerial Level Technology Research Conferences, supported by the European Commission (EC) and African Union Commission (AUC). The goal of IST-Africa is to promote international innovation, research policy cooperation and stimulate exploitation of research results by the public and private sectors. Food Security

CGIAR Science Forum 2016/ISPC Science Forum 2016 will be co-hosted by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and held from 12-14 April 2016 in Addis Ababaaddressing the topic of: "Agricultural research for rural prosperity: rethinking the pathways”. Space for this event is limited. Please register to the event before applying for the FinCEAL+ grant. Attach the confirmation for participation from the organizers to your application.
