Decisions for UniPID Seminar Grants 2017

UniPID organizes a yearly call for Seminar Grants for UniPID member universities, to organize a seminar that discusses a topic related to international development or global challenges. The decisions for the UniPID Seminar Grants 2017 have been made and in total 6000 euros were granted to four seminars organized in different universities on a variety of themes.

UniPID organizes a yearly call for Seminar Grants of up to 2000 euros for UniPID member universities, to organize a seminar that discusses a topic related to international development or global challenges.The programme of the seminar should allow presentations by PhD students and the seminar should be open to participants outside of the organizing university.

The decisions for the UniPID Seminar Grants 2017 have been made and in total 6000 euros were granted to four seminars organized in different universities on a variety of themes: 

  • University of Helsinki, Department of Agricultural Sciences: Food and Development
  • Aalto University, WiTLAB: A series of three seminars on Ecological Handprints
  • University of Eastern FInland, Institute of Public Health and Clinical Nutrition: "Social Dimensions of Health
  • University of Tampere, Global Health and Development: Global Health United – An interdisciplinary seminar
