Over 7000 experts attended the ICT2015 in Lisbon

FinCEAL Plus participated at the ICT2015 - Innovate, Connect, Transform 20-22 October in Lisbon with a delegation of ten Finnish researchers alongside with over 7000 experts worldwide. ICT 2015 is the biggest and the most prominen ICT event in the EU calendar.

FinCEAL Plus participated at the ICT2015 - Innovate, Connect, Transform 20-22 October in Lisbon with a delegation of ten Finnish researchers. The FinCEAL delegation joined over 7000 experts worldwide for three full packed days setting the ICT agenda for Europe both academically and politically.

The conference was organized by European Commission together with the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia and it consisted of several parallel events catering to the over 7000 participants. A policy conference focusing on the new Commission policies and initiatives on Research and Innovation in ICT included high level political speeches and panels setting the agenda for the future ICT infrastructure and development of the European Union. The conference boasted a high level speaker group including commissioner Oettinger and President Cavaco Silva of Portugal. In addition to the political program the Academic program - organized under the conference themes Innovate, Connect and Transform - showcased the latest academic findings and debates. 

An interactive exhibition showcased successful projects, new innovations and ambitious start ups as well as best results and impacts of most recent ICT research and innovation in both in Europe and Internationally. Networking events brought together actors under thematic workshops and Face2Face meetings provided participants with extensive possibilities in finding new partners for collaboration. 




The conference also presented all the ICT calls in the 2016-2017 work programme and gave invaluable inside information into the calls. The Presentation of the H2020 programme 2016-2017 and Instruments  as well as all the main plenaries are available as a video stream. Additionally you can still access all the slides of the Work Programme thematic sessions which have valuable information on specific calls.
