UniPID and the SYL Development Cooperation Week
SYL organizes an annual Development cooperation week annually to raise awareness among students about questions and issues related to international development and global inequality. This year, UniPID takes part by travelling to four different universities to promote the UniPID Virtual Studies and to discuss what UniPID does for questions of global responsibility.
The National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL) organizes an annual Development cooperation week to raise awareness among students about questions and current issues related to international development. This year's theme is Finland's responsibility in a global world.The Development cooperation week takes place 26 to 30 October 2015. UniPID travels to four different universities during the week, come and say hi if you're around!

UniPID visits the University of Eastern Finland to promote Virtual Studies and to give an info session on what we have done to influence Finnish HEI internationalization strategies in order to ensure global responsibility is taken into account.

In Oulu, UniPID takes over the student union "living room" Olkkari for an hour to promote Virtual Studies and to discuss global responsibility with the participants.

What can you do to help developing countries? The Jyväskylä Development cooperation week fair brings together actors and NGOs working with international issues. Organizations include AIESEC, Changemaker, CIMO, Filantropia, ICYE, Save the Children, Red Cross, Refugees Welcome, UN-Women, UNICEF, UniPID and more. The Aalto Global Fair is your chance to meet Finnish organizations and find out how you can get involved through volunteering, internships and/or studies.
