
Re energizing International Cooperation: Renewable Energy Research with Third Countries seminar 19th November in Helsinki
CLIC Innovation (Finnish Bioeconomy and Cleantech Cluster) and FinCEAL Plus are organizing a joint 1-day seminar on international cooperation in Renewable Energy research, focusing especially on research collaboration with Third Countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean region. The purpose of the seminar is to enhance cooperation among the members of the Finnish research community working in the Renewable Energy field, share information on current initiatives, discuss the challenges and best practices related to cooperation with Third Countries, as well as provide information in funding opportunities within the Horizon2020 framework.

CLIC Innovation (Finnish Bioeconomy and Cleantech
Cluster) and FinCEAL Plus
are organizing a joint 1-day seminar on international cooperation in Renewable
Energy research, focusing especially on research collaboration with Third
Countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean region.
The purpose of the seminar is to enhance cooperation among the members of the
Finnish research community working in the Renewable Energy field, share
information on current initiatives, discuss the challenges and best practices
related to cooperation with Third Countries, as well as provide information in
funding opportunities within the Horizon2020
framework.
The workshop is especially targeted to:
- Researchers working within the field of renewable energies research, and with experience and/or interest in Africa, Asia and the LAC Region.
- Private sector and NGO representatives interested in the topic of the seminar, and networking with the research community for potential partnerships and information exchange.
The seminar opens with an introduction to the upcoming
Energy Calls of Horizon2020. The day is divided into three thematic sessions in
which international cooperation in Renewables, Biomass and Sustainability are
discussed by top experts representing a wide range of Finnish universities and
research institutes. Each session also has time reserved for informal
discussion between the speakers and seminar participants, and the discussion
continues in the learning café in the afternoon. The seminar is moderated by Tuula Savola, Secure, clean and efficient
energy NCP from Tekes.
