The objective of the project is to perform a study to inform government policy and identify regulatory changes for improved monitoring of industrial pollution including development of a conceptual design of the State air quality monitoring network in key Oblasts and industrialized cities.

Description

The project activities include:
• Development of best-international-practice note on designing air quality monitoring networks;
• Definition of monitoring objectives and current monitoring system;
• Density and geographical spread of monitoring stations;
• Air quality parameters 9and available technologies;
• Institutional analysis, including a plan for operation, maintenance and station calibration and data management.
