I research bushmeat hunting, wildlife trade and alternative livelihoods. In my PhD, I will also work with Sustainable Development Goals and Indigenous People and Local Communities.

Teacher Preparation Programme through ODL Mode for Enhancing Quality in Education

I have both work and research experience in cross-cultural and indigenous communities work in the Latin American region. I have also worked at the Finnish Embassy in Peru and gotten to know the types of projects our ministry funds as cooperation for development and I have also worked in a collaborative project in Nicaragua with local communities and environmental education. Experience in funding applications and reporting.

My PhD research focuses on the political ecology and interplay between conservation and artisanal and small-scale mining in Madagascar. I am particularly interested in the power dynamics and formal and informal practices and discourses which the actors use to claim land and natural resources. Furthermore, my research aims at providing a venue for local communities to voice their perceptions and aspirations in the land-use question, and to facilitate communication between all stakeholders and development of more inclusive conservation and mining policies.
