I have a special interest in the field of health sciences with a multifaceted expertise in the determinants of health and wellbeing in different social aspects, as well as health and social policies.

A doctoral researcher pursuing research in education around teacher identity, at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. I am keen to nurture a career as an educator, administrator, or researcher in the field of education.

Saeed is working on a PhD thesis tentatively entitled “The governance of urban culture in the era of globalisation: an analysis of international policy discourses & Cosmopolitan case- examples”. He investigates this topic from the perspectives of cosmopolitanism and governmentality.

Eeva Mäkinen is a doctoral researcher at the University of Lapland. The PhD research project focuses on political imagination of development. The research aims to investigate the formulation, scope and dimension of political imagination in development.

Brendah Nakyazze is a doctoral candidate at Åbo Akademi University Finland pursuing a doctoral degree in Social Sciences (Developmental Psychology). Her research aims to investigate intimate partner sexual aggression and its psychological concomitants in Uganda. The study encompasses measurements of victimisation from sexual aggression in intimate relationships, including marital rape, as well as connected factors such as victimisation due to denial of sex, and accepting attitudes towards marital rape. The connection between victimisation from intimate partner sexual aggression and other types of victimisation will also be studied. Her research also puts forward the psychological concomitants of intimate partner sexual abuse which are important to highlight in Africa where mental health is often misunderstood and not prioritized. Her published work includes; 1. Sexual abuse and accepting attitudes towards intimate partner rape in Uganda. 2. Victimisation from intimate partner rape in Uganda: Sex differences, psychological concomitants, and the effect of educational level. 3. Intimate partner violence during the COVID-19 pandemic: An impending pubic Health crisis in Africa.

Quivine Ndomo is working on her PhD in Social Policy on the labour market integration of highly educated African migrants in Finland, using biographic methods to research workplace discrimination and labour market segmentation. She has successfully authored or co-authored a number of peer reviewed book chapters on labour market experiences of migrants and internationalisation of higher education in Finland. Ms. Ndomo has worked in national and international research consortia on internationalisation, mobilities, and migration, including projects of ministry of Education and Culture Finland, and the European Commission, as a project assistant in the DG Employment funded SMUG project. She also worked on the H2020 SIRIUS project, and from this has substantial experience in interviewing and managing stakeholder relations.

I have been working in the different National and International Research Project of Bangladesh for last nine years. I am very much interested to work on those projects which involve academia and research in the field of social science.

I am doctoral researcher at the School, Education, Society and Culture (SEDUCE) program, Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Helsinki. My doctoral research project investigates how English subject pre-service teachers in Finland and Kenya learn technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPACK) in readiness to fulfill the digitalization ethos stated in the national educational policy documents. I am a member of Foreign Language Education research group at the University of Helsinki and a participant in the Training Trainers for Teacher Education and Management in Kenya (TOTEMK) project.

Godfred Adduow Obeng is a doctoral researcher in Development Studies at the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy at the University of Jyväskylä. He is working on a PhD thesis tentatively entitled “Organic Cocoa Governance and its Implication on Sustainable Production: A Comparative case analysis between Ghana, Ivory Coast and The Dominican Republic”. He investigates this topic from the perspectives of multilevel governance.
