ERASMUS+ Student Traineeship - Deadline: 22 January 2024

In support of our core objectives, UniPID coordinates and participates in a number of externally funded projects. These projects serve to support the Finnish research community in their collaborative partnerships with counterparts in the Global South. UniPID is seeking a trainee to support the Coordination Unit and the implementation of the following projects:

  • CEA-FIRST, which aims to establish a sustainable partnership platform for European Union – African Union research and innovation on food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture (FNSSA). Read more here.

  • LEAP-RE, which seeks to create a long-term partnership of stakeholders in the field of renewable energy. Read more here.

Description of the traineeship

The trainee will support project administration and the implementation of key project tasks as well as UniPID communications. The major tasks of the traineeship are described below.

  • Virtual and onsite event organization: supporting the planning and organization of events and meetings, including participant registration and management, technical support, and reporting.

  • Project administration: contributing to project coordination, reporting, planning, and day-to-day project tasks.

  • Communication: designing communication actions around project activities and outputs to reach both Finnish and international audiences as well as contributing to the UniPID network communication to member universities.

The traineeship will take place on site at the University of Helsinki, Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry Campus in Viikki, in Finland, during the Spring 2024, with a preferred starting in the month of February and duration of 3 to 4 months. Please inquire about an Erasmus+ traineeship grant at your home university. UniPID pays 700 € per month in addition to the Erasmus+ traineeship grant. UniPID Coordination Unit will assist the trainee in finding housing.

Your background

In order to succeed in the traineeship, a willingness to learn, interest in science and cooperation around topics of development cooperation, a good command of English as well as written and oral communication skills are expected. We welcome applications from Master-level university students outside of Finland who are eligible to apply for the Erasmus+ traineeship grant at their home institutions in Erasmus+ eligible countries.
