Call for grant applications: UniPID DocNet Summer School 2016

UniPID launches a Call for Proposals to support the organization of the first UniPID DocNet Summer School in August 2016. This call anticipates the upcoming activities of the Finnish Development Research doctoral network – UniPID DocNet, which is a new nationwide initiative to support the interdisciplinary training and networking of doctoral students in development research. UniPID DocNet will be officially launched on February 2016.

UniPID launches a Call for Proposals to support the organization of the first UniPID DocNet Summer School in August 2016. This call anticipates the upcoming activities of the Finnish Development Research doctoral network – UniPID DocNet, which is a new nationwide initiative to support the interdisciplinary training and networking of doctoral students in development research. UniPID DocNet will be officially launched on February 2016. 

UniPID DocNet Summer School grant, worth up to 2000 euros, will be awarded to a UniPID member university , to support the organization of a development research related summer school for doctoral students. Additional maximum 1000 euros are granted to cover the travel and accommodation costs of the participating doctoral students from UniPID member universities. 

The grants are intended to support a summer school that discusses timely topics or theoretic-methodological perspectives related to international development, global challenges or developing countries. The main focus of the summer school should be on the training of the doctoral students. The summer school shall be organized during August 2016.

Deadline for applications is 15 January 2016.
