FinCEAL Plus Targeted Travel Grants for Successful R&I in Europe 2015: 7th European Networking Event

FinCEAL Plus has opened a Targeted Travel Funding Call to support the participation of a maximum of 3 experts from Finnish universities or research institutions, who are interested to attend the Successful R&I in Europe 2015 - 7th European Networking Event in Düsseldorf November 5th-6th 2015.

FinCEAL Plus has opened a Targeted Travel Funding Call to support the participation of a maximum of 3 experts from Finnish universities or research institutions, who are interested to attend the Successful R&I in Europe 2015 - 7th European Networking Event in Düsseldorf November 5th-6th 2015.

The maximum individual grant is 500€. Applicants from outside the metropolitan Helsinki area can receive an additional 100€ grant to cover their travel expenses within Finland. The grant can be used to cover costs related to the participation in the event, e.g registration fees, accommodation or travel costs.

For the seventh time, the conference invites researchers and entrepreneurs from North Rhine-Westphalia and regions in Europe to find new European research and innovation (R&I) partners for Horizon 2020 projects. The event addresses especially universities and research institutes and small as well as medium-sized enterprises. In 2015, special partner regions are: Belgium, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Poland and Turkey.

The networking event will be structured in parallel brokerage sessions focusing on seven topics:

  •  Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
  •  Energy
  •  Nanotechnology, Materials and Manufacturing (NMM)
  •  Sustainable Economy
  •  Life Sciences
  •  Mobility support/MSCA (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions)
  •  SME Instrument/Fast Track to Innovation

Call for presentations is open until 22 October 2015. Applicants who have submitted a presentation proposal are given preference in the call.

Interested applicants for the grant should send a short description (no more than one page) detailing their interest in the event i.e why do you want to attend, what is the benefit of attending for you and your institution, how does the event relate to your work? Additionally, the application must explain how participation in the event also benefits your research cooperation with Africa, Asia and/or the LAC region. Applicants with a focus purely in European cooperation do not qualify for the grant. Please also specify, if you have submitted a presentation proposal to the event.  A CV or link to your profile should also be included. Please note that this funding call is only for travel to this event.
