FinCEAL Targeted Travel Grants for Info Day & Brokerage event for Social Sciences in Horizon 2020, February 26th in Brussels

FinCEAL has opened a Targeted Travel Funding Call to support the participation of a maximum of 4 experts from Finnish universities or research institutions interested in attending the Info Day & Brokerage event on Horizon 2020 – Societal Challenge 6, Call: Europe as a Global Actor, held in Brussels on 26th February 2015

FinCEAL has opened a Targeted Travel Funding Call tosupport the participation of a maximum of 4 experts from Finnish universities or research institutions interested in attending the Info Day & Brokerageevent on Horizon 2020 – Societal Challenge 6, Call: Europe as a Global Actor, held in Brussels on 26th February 2015.

This international event will highlight research topics covered within the Horizon 2020 Programme and it’s call "Europe as a Global Actor”. Participants will have the possibility to participate in a matchmaking event according to the topics of the HORIZON 2020 open call "Europe as a global actor” (Societal Challenge 6). It will give participants the opportunity to join pre-arranged meetings with other participants in order to identify possible collaborators and to facilitate the setup of Horizon 2020 project consortia. In addition to the matchmaking session the event offers an info session. The info day in the morning will focus on the policy context, funding opportunities and the open call for proposals. The info session will also highlight the experiences of successful FP7 projects and offer valuable insights for your proposal preparation.

The maximum individual grant is 800€ and can be used to cover the costs related to travelto the event, accommodation and daily allowances. The grants will be awarded ona first-come, first-served basis until Thurday 5th February so please apply as soon as possible. Interested applicants should send a shortdescription detailing their interest in the event i.e why do you want to attend, what is the benefit of attending for you and your institution, how does the event relate to your work? A CV or link to your profile should also be included. Preference will be given to researchers already planning an application for the "Europe as a Global Actor” Call. The registration for the event is open until 8 February 2015.
