FinCEAL has opened a Targeted Travel Funding Call to support the participation of a maximum of 3 experts from Finnish universities or research institutions interested in attending the Smart, Green and Integrated Transport Information Day organized by the Transport Directorate of the European Commission's Research and Innovation Directorate-General is organizing an Information Day on Monday 2 February 2015 from 9 AM till 6 PM in the Charlemagne building, rue de la Loi 170, Brussels.

The next round of calls under the Smart, Green and Integrated Transport challenge of Horizon 2020 were opened on December 10th 2014.

The aim of the information day is to inform potential participants in the second round of calls under the Smart, Green and Integrated Transport Challenge of the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme and to offer some unique opportunities for networking. The sessions will deliver a brief presentation of the surface transport, the aviation and the cross-cutting topics of the Transport challenge Work Programme for 2015. Information will also be given on the Evaluation Guidelines and on the legal and financial Rules for Participation covering all aspects from the submission of a proposal to the signature of a grant agreement. The participants will have the opportunity to address specific technical questions related to the Work Programme 2015 to European Commission's project officers.

Registration for the event will be opened online soon. Please note that your registration will have to be confirmed by the European Commission.

The maximum individual grant is 800 Euros and can be used to cover the costs related to travel to the event, accommodation and daily allowances. Interested applicants should send a short description (no more than one page) detailing their interest in the event i.e why do you want to attend, what is the benefit of attending for you and your institution, how does the event relate to your work? A CV or link to your profile should also be included. Preference will be given to researchers with the aim of submitting a proposal in the Smart, Green and Integrated Transport challenge of Horizon 2020. Please note that this funding call is only for researchers based in Finnish institutions, and only for travel to this particular event.
