FinCEAL Targeted Travel Grants for Successful R&I in Europe 2014 - 6th European Networking Event

FinCEAL has opened a Targeted Travel Funding Call to support the participation of a maximum of 6 experts from Finnish universities or research institutions, who are interested to attend the Successful R&I in Europe 2014 - 6th European Networking Event in Dusseldorf, 30th - 31st October, 2014.

The maximum individual grant is 500 Euros and can be used to cover costs related to the participation in the event, e.g registration fees, accommodation or travel costs.

For the sixth time, the conference invites researchers and entrepreneurs from North Rhine-Westphalia and regions in Europe to find new European research and innovation (R&I) partners for Horizon 2020 projects. The series of events has been a great success with over 1400 participants since 2009. In 2014, special partner regions are: Belgium, Finland, France, Greece, the Netherlands and Poland.

The networking event will be structured in parallel brokerage sessions focusing on six topics:

·Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)

·Energy

·Nanotechnology, Materials and Manufacturing

·Sustainable Economy

·Life Sciences

·Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions

Interested applicants for the grant should send a short description (no more than one page) detailing their interest in the event i.e why do you want to attend, what is the benefit of attending for you and your institution, how does the event relate to your work? A CV or link to your profile should also be included. Please note that this funding call is only for travel to this event. Preference will be given to experienced researchers with interest in partnering for Horizon 2020 in the above-mentioned topics.
