• UniPID is associated with the University of Helsinki Global South Network which aims to enhance cooperation in research and education related to developing countries at the various campuses of the University of Helsinki.

• UniPID is associated with the Southern African-Nordic Center which is a partnership of higher education institutions from all the Nordic countries and southern Africa. Its primary aim is to promote multilateral research cooperation on matters of importance to the development of both regions. There are currently 32 members.
