UniPID and FSDR seek to award exceptional Master's level theses from UniPID universities. The prize will be 1,000 euros. There will also be two honorable mentions.  The award will be presented in November.

FinCEAL launches second round of project preparatory funding

The FinCEAL project preparatory funding aims to offer support to applicants based in Finnish institutions who are in the mid or late stage in the process of preparing an application for EU research funding, such as Horizon 2020. Read more here!

For Students

UniPID offers Virtual Studies courses to all students belonging to UniPID's Member Universities. Virtual Studies are provided on a variety of Sustainable Development topics and students have the opportunity to complete a minor in development studies as well.

For Researchers

UniPID connects researchers to a network of researchers and institutions across Finland and developing nations. UniPID offers valuable research resources and tools, hosts roundtables and training events,  news alerts to research and funding opportunities and more.  

For Partners

UniPID partners with development institutions and networks to strengthen research capacity and promote sustainable development. In the field of research and higher education, UniPID promotes opportunities, projects, activities and more. 

Virtual Studies

The UniPID Virtual Studies programme, Sustainability in Development, is comprised of a collection of online courses, each worth 5 ECTS, offered for free to all Member University students and suitable for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. 

Each year, UniPID offers funding for new courses and updates its course catalogue.

FinCEAL (Developing Finnish Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation between Europe, Africa and the LAC Region) is an initiative by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture with the purpose of increasing support for Finnish researchers focusing on Africa and the Latin America and the Caribbean region. The project is seeking to network the Finnish research and science community working with Africa and the LAC region through enhanced communication, and to increase the participation of Finnish experts in important bi-regional processes.
